Funding Deposit Schedule:
The allowances you qualify for will be deposited on the 25th of every month, if the 25th falls on the weekend or holiday it will be deposited on the Friday before the weekend. Deposits usually occur between 3-5 pm, if the deposit is not received please contact the Post-Secondary Specialist. Ensure that you read through the Post-Secondary Handbook so as to meet all of your responsibilities as a sponsored student.
Submit your institution's mandatory fees to the School Board as soon as possible for reimbursement!
September session and January session Post-Secondary Funding Deposit WILL INCLUDE allowance for Books and Supplies.
+ Books & Supplies Allowance: 2 payments of $1,000 to be paid August 25th and December 25th
+ *Travel Allowance: 2 payments of $750 to be paid August 25th and November 25th
May session Post-Secondary Funding Deposit WILL INCLUDE allowance for Books and Supplies.
+Books/Supplies – 1 payment of $500 to be paid April 25th
*Travel Allowance: Full Time sponsored students who are required to live away from Bella Bella, who have lived within Bella Bella 12 consecutive months prior, are eligible to receive a flat rate of $1,500.00 per school year.
The allowance amounts depend on factors such as; if you are single or married if you have dependents if you are living on or off-reserve. An example could be if you are a single student (not married or common law) a student would receive $1267.00 a month from September through to April (which would be paid on the 25th of the prior month).
